The Medical Representative is responsible for being the key point of contact between HOLDAL and the pharmaceutical, medical, and healthcare professionals. He/She should also promote product awareness, answer queries, provide advice, introduce new products, and persuade customers (doctors and pharmacists) to buy HOLDAL’s products. He/She should reach certain sales targets and provide after-sales services.
requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry or any related scientific field. • 0 to 4 years of experience (Medical Representative)/ 5+ of experience (Senior Medical Representative) in the medical field, preferably in a similar industry. • Knowledge of disease and pharmacology. • Fluent in Arabic and English. French is a plus. • Knowledge in Microsoft Office. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to be brief and speak clearly. • Great selling and negotiation skills. • Great time management skills.
responsibilities
1. Promotion and Communication: • Execute monthly visits to the related medical specialists to communicate information about products and diseases and to deliver the right messages. • Assist the Direct Manager with organizing and attending local and international round tables and conferences to promote the company’s products. • Build and maintain a positive work relationship with medical staff to promote the company’s products and increase prescriptions. • Assist the Direct Manager with reviewing, segmenting, and targeting existing customers to increase efficiency and return on investment regarding the cost of visits. • Recruit new customers to increase prescriptions and achieve sales growth. 2. Data Collection: • Collect information about product efficiency and safety to report any adverse event. • Monitor competitors’ activities and submit monthly reports to help the department in developing action plans accordingly. • Collect data about doctors’ prescribing habits to help the department in developing action plans accordingly. 3. Reporting: • Report to the Direct Manager all performed visits to ensure that all doctors are being visited as per the preset cycle.
