Job Purpose
- Develop, implement, and oversee strategic and tactical marketing programs that drive brand growth, market penetration, and sales performance in alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure effective brand positioning, budget optimization, and seamless coordination with brand principals to achieve both quantitative and qualitative targets.
- Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group policies and procedures.
Education And Experience
Education
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Management. MBA is a plus
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in Marketing of FMCG or Tobacco sectors
Duties And Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop the annual business plan and brand growth strategies for the Tobacco business unit
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing calendar aligned with both global and local brand strategies
- Customize global marketing strategies to suit local consumer behavior and market dynamics
- Lead and oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines
- Establish and maintain strong collaboration with key stakeholders to streamline communication with principals
- Strategically plan and execute brand activations, events, and sponsorship initiatives
Forecast & Demand Planning
- Develop advanced demand forecasting models considering market demand, sales trends, and principal directives
- Ensure forecasts align seamlessly with the brand’s long-term strategic vision
- Optimize inventory levels to mitigate risks of stock excess or shortages
- Monitor monthly and annual brand performance against forecasts, providing strategic recommendations for optimization
Budget, Expenses & ROI Management
- Oversee and optimize the marketing and trade budget, ensuring maximum ROI while securing additional funding when necessary
- Continuously track and assess ROI for all marketing and trade initiatives, leveraging insights for future strategic improvements
- Maintain stringent financial oversight by monitoring expenditures and ensuring approval processes are adhered to
- Ensure timely submission of Debit Notes and proper documentation of all expenses
Pricing & Profitability
- Develop and manage competitive pricing structures that align with overarching financial goals; Optimize Gross and Net Margins to enhance brand profitability while maintaining market competitiveness
- Conduct comprehensive pricing analyses, considering competitive benchmarks and sales performance
- Ensure alignment of pricing strategies with field teams and critical stakeholders
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Collaborate proactively with the supply chain team to ensure product availability and optimal stock distribution
- Set and manage monthly orders while aligning them with annual sales targets
- Ensure timely and accurate order placements based on demand forecasts and market needs
- Oversee stock distribution to maximize efficiency across different markets and channels
Performance Tracking & Data Analysis
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and analysis of sales performance, market share trends, and competitor activities
- Evaluate brand penetration and visibility, ensuring alignment with market positioning strategies
- Lead performance reviews and generate actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
- Interpret third-party market data to enhance business intelligence and planning
- Prepare and deliver in-depth business review reports for principal meetings, offering data-driven recommendations
POSM & Trade Marketing Management
- Ensure the availability, strategic distribution, and effective utilization of Point of Sale Materials (POSM)
- Manage agency coordination for the seamless production and timely delivery of promotional materials
- Partner closely with trade marketing teams to enhance in-store visibility and customer engagement
On HR
- Contribute proactively with the Talent Acquisition Team in filling vacancies timely. Design/update related JD and on-boarding programs and ensure their proper understanding & implementation. Ensure an optimized structure in line with business priorities and performance
- Provide direct reports with needed resources/tools and guidance to fulfil their role properly and set their training needs and development plan in coordination with L&DM. Celebrate achievements, highlight people with potential to offer them perspective for growth
- Set direct reports annual Business Goals and required competencies and conduct quarterly feedback sessions to appraise their performance. Monitor continuously direct report productivity and take corrective actions in due time. - - Issue misconducts and enroll under-performers in related program
